Latest TVNZ 1 Scheduling Update

Next week TVNZ 1 will replace its overnight infomercials with programmes because the network’s not allowed to advertise on non-commercial Easter days.

On Good Friday, a Kath and Kim omnibus will screen from 1.15am-4.45am and US panel show Funny You Should Ask from 4.45am.

Beyond the Edge, a documentary movie about Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary’s monumental and historical ascent of Mt. Everest in 1953, will air from 2.40am on Easter Sunday, ahead of a 4am broadcast of Funny You Should Ask.

TVNZ 2 already runs entertainment shows overnight, so isn’t affected, while Three is replacing its info blocks with made for-for-TV movies and repeats of Lego Masters USA and Better Homes and Gardens.

TVNZ 1 also is replacing The Ellen DeGeneres Show with Tipping Point from April 13-24.

It will air 2.00 weekdays while Ellen is on hiatus.

And this week’s Sunday (TVNZ 1, 7.30 Sunday) investigates why NZ’s elderly aren’t staying at home during the COVID-19 lockdown.
