LG is poised to launch a wireless, 3D Blu-ray home theatre system in NZ.
Its stylish, top-of-the-range HX995TZ goes on sale in late October for $1,999.
LG says the two, slim, front-channel speakers, two surround speakers and main unit were designed to co-ordinate with its Infinia TVs.
Measuring just 29mm front-to-back, the surround speakers come with stands or wall mounts while the wireless the main unit and active subwoofer can be placed anywhere.
The slender, 5.1-channel system delivers 1,100 watts of output and six modes of LG Sound Gallery, including VSM Plus, Clear Voice and MP3 Up-scaling, allow for customisation.
In addition to 3D Blu-ray disc playback and wireless connectivity to Internet content and users’ digital libraries, the HX995TZ has BD-Live and Gracenote for online access to music, features and additional information from the movies they’re watching.
There are two HDMI inputs and one HDMI out as well as a special iPod/Phone-docking cradle.
