Masters of Sex Bound for SoHo

The most risqué new drama of the year, Masters of Sex, will screen on Sky’s SoHo channel from October.

The series dramatises Thomas Maier’s book, Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love.

It stars Michael Sheen, in his first TV series role, and Lizzy Caplan as the ‘60s scientists who made sensational headlines for their groundbreaking studies of human sexuality.

Even before it goes to air in the US, on September 29 — a month ahead of its October 23 SoHo premiere – the TV Critics of America have judged it to be one of the year’s “most exciting new series”.

Others have dubbed it the “raunchiest new show on TV” and Sheen told critics on their summer tour: “I never thought I would get used to having a naked woman in front of me masturbating … but I actually broke that barrier on the show.”
