My Sky + … Movies in November

Next month Sky TV will debut more than 40 movies in HD.

But few will have you switching over from SoHo’s first, free month to view, given its sterling selection of HBO movies in HD (the latest to be confirmed, for November 18, is Cinema Verite).

Sky Movies’ HD premieres range from direct-to-video and made-for-TV obscurities to middling to dire multiplex attractions like Burlesque, Tron: Legacy, The Tourist and The Dilemma.

The line-up’s more promising on Sky Movies Greats, which sets its sights higher with What About Bob?, Tombstone, Boogie Nights, Atonement, Red Eye and Thank You for Smoking.

Screening in order of their appearance will be:

Sky Movies – Chateaux Meroux, Dear Mr Gacy, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie (November 1), Ghost Machine, Going the Distance (November 2), A Valentine’s Date, Altitude, Outsourced (November 4), Burlesque (November 6), The Stranger, Turbulent Skies (November 7), MacGruber, Waiting for Forever (November 8), Somewhere (November 9), The Good Guy (November 10), Tron: Legacy (November 13), Jackass 3 (November 15), And Soon the Darkness (November 16), The Tourist (November 20), Hunt to Kill  (November 21), The 41 Year Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad (November 22), Cyrus (November 23), The Dilemma (November 27), The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (November 29), Chloe (November 30).
