My Sky + … Movies in February
The Fighter, 127 Hours, Black Swan, Unstoppable and Megamind are among the mega-movies that will bow in HD next month on Sky’s premium movies channel.
The first three movies were among last year’s best picture Oscar contenders while the winner of three 2006 Academy Awards, Brokeback Mountain, will screen in HD for the first time on Sky Movies Greats.
Also of note are Matt (Cloverfield) Reeves’ stunning re-make of Let the Right One In, Let Me In, the sci-fi comedy Paul, and a couple of movies that bypassed NZ cinemas: the Disney horseracing drama, Secretariat, and the romantic musicians drama, Country Strong.
One of The Hangover director Todd Phillips’ earlier comedies, Old School, is among a slew of comedies slated for SMG; the others include Uptown Girls, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Sleepless in Seattle, Charlie Wilson’s War and the Barbershop duo.
