My Sky + … Movies in May

May’s shaping up to be a rather beastly month for HD premieres on Sky’s premium movie channels.

As well as most of the newcomers being minor or obscure, horror/fantasy is the dominant theme.

The creature features, mostly direct-to-disc dross, range from Scream of the Banshee, Red Riding Hood, Sucker Punch, Prowl, The Last Exorcism, Husk, Vanishing on 7th Street, 51 and Beastly on Sky Movies to two of the Underworld movies and the original Predator on Sky Movies Greats.

All that will stop movie buffs from screaming “Mayday!” next month will be the HD debuts of Never Let Me Go, Conviction, Limitless, Closer and perhaps, at a pinch, Bad Teacher.
