My Sky + … The Zone in June

Sky’s sci-fi/fantasy channel The Zone will air season three of Under the Dome in HD within days of its US broadcast.

Previously a Prime property, the Stephen King dramatisation will now screen first on The Zone, only three days behind CBS.

Season three will open with a movie-length premiere on June 29 and will air 7.30 Mondays.

The latest seasons of two other series will air even closer to their US broadcast.

S5 of Falling Skies will screen 8.30 Tuesdays, from June 30, only a day behind TNT, while S3 of Defiance will play 7.30 Mondays, from June 15, only two days after the US.

June on The Zone’s also notable for the launch of Collider (7.30 Mondays from June 15) and Jekyll (9.30 Tuesdays from June 2).

In Collider, the survivors of a catastrophic scientific experiment try to reverse the wormhole that an apocalypse at the Large Hadron Collider has triggered.

Jekyll is the 2007 series that starred James Nesbitt as a modern-day descendant of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Scheduled for the Cinema Z slot are Meteor Apocalypse, Zombie Night, Dead Snow, The Land That Time Forgot and The Zombinator.

They will be the year’s last Cinema Z premieres; the slot is being dropped for the rest of the year but will be resurrected in 2016.

Zombie Night and Dead Snow will screen as part of a Zombie Weekend on June 13-14 that will include a box set re-run of Z Nation (S1) and the S2 premiere 0f The Walking Dead.
