Neon to Reveal All About House of the Dragon

Neon will stream a behind-the-scenes series about HBO’s House of the Dragon that will follow each weekly episode of the Game of Thrones prequel.

The House That Dragons Built will feature everything from set construction and digital effects to cast interviews and producer insights.

It will stream from 2.00 Mondays for the first five weeks, then from 3.00 for the next five because of the switch to daylight saving.

Neon will stream House of the Dragon the same time it airs on SoHo: from 1.00 Mondays for episodes 1-5, and from 2.00 for eps 6-10.

The series has been dubbed “Succession with dragons” and will premiere on August 22.

In the meantime, Prime Video has scheduled its rival fantasy blockbuster, The Rings of Power, so the season finales of each won’t stream the same week.

It will launch the eight-part season with a double-episode on September 2, Variety reports.

If Rings of Power had dropped one episode per week, rather than doubling up its first week, both shows would have aired their Season 1 finales during the same week (Oct. 21 for Rings of Power and Oct. 23 for the Game of Thrones prequel). Now, Amazon’s Lord of the Rings TV series will conclude Oct. 14, more than a week before House of the Dragon.
