Phil have you heard if Top Gun: Maverick is going to be available in New Zealand on a streamer? I see it’s going on Paramount+ just before Christmas. Just debating whether to get the Blu-ray as a Christmas present, which I know will be better quality than a streamer but my recipient probably won’t care too much about the difference if it’s online.

  2. Hey, Clint, you can rent or buy it online from Google Movies (limited to HD) or Apple TV (up to 4K), or rent it in HD on Neon (limited to stereo). Otherwise, Sky Movies will premiere it on January 29, which presumably is when it will pop up on Neon’s movies menu. I’d go with the Blu-ray or 4K disc for the ultimate in picture and audio quality.

  3. There’s overwhelming feedback that the 4K-UHD Blu-ray Disc is the one to choose. Forget about streaming. Same should apply to all content.

  4. Thanks Philip and fmsmith, appreciate it. Yes, if I was purchasing for myself solely, I would happily buy the 4K/Blu-ray disc without question. I think I’m still leaning towards getting the disc as the gift anyway … even if it’s on streaming the disc lends a permanence streaming doesn’t offer.

  5. As I predicted Strange World is heading to Disney+ on December 23rd, that was so predictable 😂

  6. Still appreciate the update, Trevor!

  7. It’s my pleasure, Philip. I wonder how long it will be for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it’s probably January or February. On a different note if you guys like Paul McCartney there is a new biography called The McCartney Legacy, it’s absolutely brilliant 😁

  8. It looks like Warner Bros. Discovery are going to have HBO shows included on the FAST channels. Interesting, don’t you think Philip? I wonder if that’s a way around the Sky deal 🤔

  9. Yes, Trevor, it’s certainly shaping up that way. Have just posted a WBD media release about its WBD centenary plans.

  10. They must have started the same year as Disney as it’s a 100 years for them as well next year. 1923 was a good year 😁🎉

  11. I’ve seen Sky promoting the WBD100 on its social media – seems like Sky is part of the celebration. If only WBD could clarify what its FAST channel offering was for NZ …
