I wonder if TVNZ will stop screening Disney-related movies after all it’s only 40 days to the launch of Disney+.. So darn exciting 🙂
I imagine there will still be Disney movies free-to-air. It’s the likes of Sky and Netflix that will be hit hardest, especially the latter. The studios all have different rights deals, for everything from FTA to pay to digital. And even if they operate their own direct-to-consumer services, they’ll still want to exploit every revenue window they can.
I hope we get all of the Marvel and Star Wars movies on Disney+ on launch day as there are quite a few I haven’t seen yet. It’s going to be interesting to see what we will get here 🙂
