Criminal Minds: Evolution, a revival of the long-running procedural (2005-2020) that was a ratings goldmine for TVNZ 1, will stream on Disney+ from Friday.
The 10-episode season will premiere with two episodes, with subsequent eps to drop weekly.
There will be a mid-season finale on December 16, with the season resuming on January 13.
Outside of NZ and Australia, the series will stream on Paramount+.
Disney+ says Criminal Minds: Evolution will expand the franchise and blend serialised threads into each week’s instalment.
It pits the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit against its greatest threat yet, an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers.
As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time.
Original cast members continuing their roles include Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster.
Zach Gilford joins the cast as a recurring guest star in a season-long arc.
All 15 seasons of the original series, along with spin-offs Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, can be streamed on Disney+.

YAY, I love Criminal Minds ?
I find it interesting that it doesn’t screen on Paramount+ in Australia. And suggests that the chance of Paramount+ launching in NZ must be very very far away.
