New Blu-ray Label for Rare Classics
In an era of unprecedented streaming and declining Blu-ray sales, it’s fantastic to see a distributor launch a label devoted to presenting classic movies for the first time in 1080p.
Via Vision’s Imprint aims to deliver five restorations a month in limited-edition deluxe packaging with extras and commentaries.
This month’s launch was meant to include The War of the Worlds (1953) and I Married a Monster From Outer Space but due to demand exceeding supply in Australia, they’re not available here.
However, they will be released here eventually in standard Blu-ray packaging.
In the meantime, movie buffs can collect Sorry, Wrong Number, The Duellists and Waterloo, while coming soon are When Worlds Collide, When Night Falls on Manhattan, The Carpetbaggers, A Place in the Sun and No Way to Treat a Lady.
