New Name for Disney+ F/X Whodunit

Disney+ has revealed a new title for FX’s A Murder at the End of the World, a murder-mystery set in the remote compound of a reclusive billionaire.

The limited series, formerly known as Retreat, will stream exclusively on Disney+ in August.

It stars Emma Corrin (The Crown), Clive Owen (Impeachment: American Crime Story), Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness) and Brit Marling (The OA).

Corrin plays a new kind of detective — a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker — who’s one of nine guests invited to reclusive billionaire Owen’s isolated retreat, where one by one they’re killed.

The seven-part series, which Marling & Zal Batmanglij created and directed, was filmed in Iceland, New Jersey and Utah.

Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for season two of Foundation ahead of its July 14 premiere.

The series is based on Isaac Asimov’s award-winning stories about four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.

S2 is set more than 100 years after the S1 finale; Jared Harris and Lee Pace star.

Meanwhile, Apple TV+ has renewed another sci-fi adaptation, Silo, which continues with new episodes on Fridays, for a second season.
