New Partnership for DocPlay

Documentary streaming service DocPlay has announced a new partnership with Participant Media that will add more social justice content to its slate.

“This partnership will enable us to build a significant catalogue of amazing documentaries that advocate for social justice and inspire positive social change,” DocPlay says.

“We currently have over a dozen Participant films on the platform, with more to be added regularly throughout the coming months. Participant is a world leader in this field and we are thrilled to share these films with you.”

Here’s Participant’s mission statement:

Participant is the leading media company dedicated to entertainment that inspires audiences to engage in positive social change – the union of creativity and impact, Art + Activism. Through its worldwide network of traditional and digital distribution, aligned with partnerships with key non-profit and NGO organisations, Participant’s content and social impact mandate speaks directly to the rise of today’s “conscious consumer.” Collectively, its films have earned 74 Oscar nominations and 19 wins, including Best Picture for Spotlight and Green Book.

DocPlay expects to have 20 Participant titles online by year’s end, ranging from Jimmy Carter: Man From Plains and US-Mexico drug war expose Kingdom of Shadows.
