New to Acorn TV in August

After a strong slate of premieres this month, Acorn TV has only one exclusive for August: French drama series Family Business.

It’s billed as a “warm-hearted” legal drama about a mother and daughter who practice law together and ran for two seasons.

S1 will stream from August 24.

Acorn TV also is adding to its line-up a 2002 BBC docudrama series about the English Civil War (August 3), six movie-length Auroroa Teagarden Mysteries (August 17) and:

  • Taggart S25 (August 3), S26-27 (August 31)
  • Doctor Finlay S1-4 (August 3)
  • Agatha Christie’s Poirot S7-8 (August 10), S9-10 (August 24)
  • Murdoch Mysteries S5-6 (August 17)
  • McCallum S1-2 (August 17).

Is there a season 2 for Family Business?

  2. Hey, Linda, Acorn says because it has just started to stream S1, it has yet to determine if it will license S2.
