New to Acorn TV in January

The Madame Blanc Mysteries will stream exclusively next month on Acorn TV.

The six-part series stars creator Sally Lindsay as a newly-widowed antiques dealer in Cheshire who is left penniless after her husband’s death and shifts to France to investigate his mysterious demise.

Quipped The Telegraph when it premiered two months ago in the UK: “Sacré bleu! It’s Midsomer-en-Ville …enjoyably gentle Gallic whodunit [that] won’t win any awards for trail-blazing originality but it was witty, feelgood fare.”

Also new will be S2 of Queens of Mystery and Gold Digger, which first aired on TVNZ 1. Here’s the full slate:

January 3

GOLD DIGGER

At the age of 60, Julia (Julia Ormond, Mad Men, Legends of the Fall) hits it off with the devilishly good-looking Benjamin (Ben Barnes, The Chronicles of Narnia, Westworld) who is half her age.
