New to Amazon Prime Video in February

Amazon Prime Video NZ will launch Al Pacino’s first TV series Hunters on February 21.

Created by David Weil (Moonfall) and executive produced by Jordan Peele (Us), it follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York City, where they try to thwart the rise of a Fourth Reich.

Pacino co-stars with Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker and Lena Olin.

Weil told US TV critics Hunters’ concept was largely inspired by stories his grandmother told him as a boy.

My grandmother was a Holocaust survivor who would tell me stories about the war. As I got older, I struggled with that feeling of birthright. How would I continue her story? […] For me, this was a love letter to my grandmother; a quest to don that vigilante cape with the [current] rise of anti-Semitism and xenophobia.

On Amazon Prime Video they have added a show called The Doctors, it’s worth checking out especially if you are a Doctor Who fan. Not having seen it before I’m finding it really interesting 🙂

  2. Thanks for the alert, Trevor.
