New to Amazon Prime Video in March
An animated adult superhero show from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman will stream on Amazon Prime Video from March 26.
Invincible revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons).
But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
Also lending their voices will be Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Mark Hamill and Walton Goggins.
The month’s only other series premiere will be the docu-series Making Their Mark, which follows players, coaches and executives across six teams in the AFL (March 12).
New movies in March will include:
- Coming 2 America (March 5), in which Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) prepares to take over the reigns of his homeland of Zamunda
- The Bay of Silence (March 7), about the mother (Olga Kurylenko) of a suspected murder victim whose past links her to another unsolved crime
- The Mauritian (March 24), the true story of Mohamedou Ould Slahi’s fight for freedom after being detained and imprisoned without charge by the U.S. Government for years; Kevin Macondald directs Tahar Rahim, Jodie Foster and Benedict Cumberbatch.
