New to AMC+ Etc in March

While TVNZ+ premieres the newest entry in The Walking Dead universe, The Ones Who Live, the service that should have streamed it here exclusively is left trying to tempt subscribers with two new docuseries.

That’s because ever since the ailing AMC+ went into crisis mode and strip-mined its content to license to third parties, lightweight factual fare have dominated its paltry premieres.

Next month it launches Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter (March 4), a SundanceTV original series, and True Crime Story: Smugshot (March 14), which profiles criminals “so full of themselves, they really don’t believe it is possible to be caught for their misdeeds”.

Each episode of Off Script features Hollywood heavyweights in roundtables debates of “the urgent issues, creative methodologies and behind-the-scenes narratives that define the entertainment industry”.

AMC+ sister service Acorn TV premieres season three of The Madame Blanc Mysteries (weekly from March 18), S4 of London Kills (binge from March 25) and the complete series of Hinterland (March 18).

New to horror service Shudder are:

  • Godless: The Eastfield Excorcism (March 1), about a tormented woman torn between science and faith who seek treatments from a congregation of zealots and a ruthless exorcist
  • God is a Bullet (March 4), in which a detective infiltrates an evil cult to save his kidnapped daughter and avenge the murder of his wife
  • Malum (March 18), in which a rookie police officer tries to uncover the mysterious connection between her father’s death and a vicious cult.

Library additions include The Hitcher (March 4), First Contact, Depraved and Sympathy for the Devil (March 11), The Third Saturday in October and The Third Saturday in October Part V (March 18), and Good Boy and The Accursed (March 25).
