New to AMC+ in May

It opens with the eccentric titular forensic pathologist on the run from the police. Reads the blurb:

With his team suspended and his brother and nemesis Alexendre nowhere to be found, it’s not long before an especially diabolical killer emerges and forces Balthazar out of hiding.

Also ‘new’ to AMC+/Acorn TV next month will be the dated thrillers The Other Wife (May 15), a 2012 UK miniseries about a newly widowed ex-ballerina who discovers her late husband has another family, and Shattered (May 22), a 2010 Canadian series about a cop with multiple personalities.

AMC+ horror channel Shudder will premiere:

• Influencer (May 26): A social media influencer befriends a stranger with a dark side while backpacking in Thailand;
• Huesera: The Bone Woman (May 12): An expectant mother worries her pregnancy isn’t as it should be;
• Sissy (May 18): Two childhood friends catch up after a decade apart during a bachelorette weekend-from-Hell at a remote mountain cabin.
