The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project will premiere with all six episodes on August 21 on Disney+.
The unscripted series goes inside Khloé Kardashian’s inner circle where her “closest friends” navigate motherhood, marriage, dating, business and life in the spotlight. Reads the blurb:
From career milestones and family challenges to girls’ trips, launch parties, and life-changing decisions, these ambitious women come together through their shared connection to Khloé. But as they spend more time together and get to know one another on a deeper level, unexpected tensions, old wounds, and clashing perspectives begin to surface – testing whether these friendships can grow as their lives continue to evolve.
Here’s the trailer.
Lion (August 20) is a four-years-in-the-making wildlife series that combines “cinematic storytelling with groundbreaking natural history filmmaking”.
About a lion cub that comes of age as a powerful leader, it’s collaboration between director Jon Favreau (The Lion King) and BBC Studios executive producer Mike Gunton (Planet Earth III).
Also new are The Shards (August 6), a “a hoot of a horror comedy” from FX about privileged high school seniors at an elite prep school in ’80s America, belated musical sequel Camp Rock 3 (August 14), Blink-182 drummer bio Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear (August 13), and animated Star Wars spin-off The Ninth Jedi (August 5).
