New to Disney+ in December

Disney+ will herald Christmas with a slate teeming with premieres, including the movies Soul and Mulan.

Mulan has been available to stream as the platform’s first premium video-on-demand title but subscribers will be able to view it in up to 4K-UHD for free from December 4.

Disney has yet to report on whether the PVOD strategy was a financial success but won’t be going the same route with Soul: it will be available to all subscribers from December 25.

Disney+ also will add season one of Marvel’s Runaways and a slew of movies and specials from the vault.

But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.
