New to Disney+ in July

If you haven’t yet streamed Alaska Daily, The Company You Keep, The Watchful Eye or Single Drunk Female on Disney+ …  bad luck: they’re the latest casualties of the streamer’s “billion-dollar write-down” — but hopefully July’s premieres will stay online for longer.

FX’s The Bear: Season 2 (19 July)

FX’s critically acclaimed series about food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of Sense of Urgency and the steep slippery downsides returns with young chef Carmy and crew working to transform their greasy spoon into a posh eatery.

FX’s Justified: Primeval City: Season 1 (19 July)
STAR Original Series

Timothy Olyphant returns as the Kentucky lawman  now living in Miami as a “walking anachronism” balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl (played by Olyphant’s actual daughter, Vivian)

Futurama: Season 11 (24 July)
STAR Original Series

After a ten-year break, new viewers will be able to pick up the series from here while long-time fans will recognise payoffs to decades-long mysteries amid a new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

Drag Me to Dinner (26 July)
STAR Original Series

Extravagantly bills itself as “a riotous, format-busting, fourth-wall-breaking, unapologetic sendup of traditional reality competition shows” in which teams of drag queens go compete to throw “the most fabulous, awe-inspiring, drag-tastical dinner parties of all time”.
