New to Disney+ in June
Disney+ continues to diversify its content beyond family fare and Marvel spin-offs in June, with the premieres of FX series Under the Banner of Heaven and season three of Breeders.
The Martin Freeman-Daisy Hoggard comedy about parenting previously screened on Sky but is switching exclusively to Disney+, starting with S1-2 on June 1 and S3 on June 15.
Under the Banner of Heaven (June 8) is another FX series that once would have screened on Sky but now will be unique to Disney+.
Inspired by the true-crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, it dramatises the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah.
Andrew Garfield plays the detective investigating the events that transpired within the Lafferty family, uncovering the truth about the origins of the Latter Day Saints religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. A devout Mormon, what he unearths leads him to question his own faith.
Also from FX will be The Bear (June 23), a comedy about a brilliant young chef from the fine-dining world who has to return home to run his family sandwich shop in Chicago after a death in the family.
Other FX series coming to Disney+ include the extraordinary Fosse/Verdon (June 1) and the 2014-17 drama about an American family in the Middle East, Tyrant (June 8).
June also will see the belated premiere of the rebooted The Wonder Years (June 1), the S3 premiere of Love, Victor (June 15), the S2 premiere of Only Murders in the Building (June 28) and the debut of Soprano: Sing or Die (June 10), a documentary series about one of France’s most popular recording artists.
Ms Marvel (June 8) introduces Kamala Khan as a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City, the animated Baymax! (June 29) is a series spun off Big Hero 6, Hollywood Stargirl (June 3) is an original movie about a silver-voiced teenager whose kindness works magic in the lives of others, and Rise (June 24) is based on the real-life story about the remarkable family that produced the first trio of brothers to become NBA champions in the history of the league: Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Laker Kostas Antetokounmpo, and their younger brother Alex.
Watch also for the Star original movie, Fire Island (June 17), a gay rom-com take on Pride & Prejudice.

We may also be getting Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness on June 22nd, it was leaked early by Disney+ in Germany ?
Thanks for posting. Interesting that is has Family Guy season 20 – when we don’t even have season 19 in NZ (only in AU) hopefully this is the correct list. No further news on Devs or Mrs America coming despite showing up last month in the report.
Crikey! Good point, Sam, re Family Guy — will check with Disney+ NZ but imagine the reference is Australian-only and was overlooked for the local media release. Devs is definitely coming but is still licensed to Sky.
Yes, Family Guy S20 is for Disney+ Oz.
