New to Disney+ in March

Dominating next month’s highlights on Disney+ are the live Academy Awards telecast and the premiere of Moana 2, which was a Golden Globe best animated movie-nominee but missed out on an Oscar nod.

The Oscars will stream exclusively on Disney+ from 12.30 Monday, with Conan O’Brien hosting the ceremony for the first time.

Disney+ titles in the running include Inside Out 2, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Alien: Romulus, Elton John: Never Too Late, Sugarcane and A Real Pain. (The full list of nominees for the 97th Oscars can be found at: www.oscars.org/oscars/ceremonies/2025.)

Moana 2 (March 12) was the third highest-grossing film of 2024 and crossed a billion dollars at the global box office, the fourth Walt Disney Animation Studios film ever to do so (Frozen, Zootopia, Frozen 2).
