New to DocPlay in October

Next month documentary streaming service DocPlay dishes up all 12 seasons of exotic foodie travelogue Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (October 9).

The series previously screened here on CNN International but this will be the first chance to stream it in HD.

Other premieres include:

Hillsong: God Goes Viral (October 12), which explores the history and legacy of globally trending megachurch Hillsong (established in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales), revealing its explosive growth and shedding light on the darker stories within the organisation.

United (October 16), a six-part Australian series about A-League club Western United’s rise against the backdrop of the global pandemic.

Nuclear Now (October 19), in which Oliver Stone argues nuclear energy is the solution for the climate crisis.

Cold Case Hammarskjöld (October 26), in which Danish director Mads Brügger discovers something far more sinister than expected when he investigates how UN secretary-general Dag Hammarskjöld’s plane mysteriously and fatally crashed on African soil in 1961.

Ecco Homo (October 30), the little-known story of provocateur, artist and performer Peter Vanessa ‘Troy’ Davies.
