New to Hayu & Bravo in June

Wicked: For Good, the Broadway musical adaptation about the origins of Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West and her bond with Glinda the Good Witch, streams on Hayu from June 25.

Also new the same day is the horror movie Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

They premiere ahead of their availability on other SVOD services except Netflix, whose deal with NBCUniversal gives it the same access to the studio’s movies the same time as Hayu — but with 4K-UHD streaming potential (as with Jurassic World: Rebirth).

Other premieres include Hayu staples Below Deck Mediterranean S11 (June 9), The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys S3 (June 16) and Next Gen NYC S1 (June 25) but there are no new drama or comedy series.

Sister channel Bravo, which broadcasts in SD but can be streamed in HD on ThreeNow, is premiering Dirty Rotten Scandals (June 16).

It bills itself as “an explosive series exposing allegations of coercion and exploitation surrounding one of the nation’s most trusted daytime TV series”, Dr. Phil:

From the production practices, and the questionable relationships with treatment facilities, to unveiling the dark underbelly of the long-running TV series through the untold stories of former contestants of America’s Next Top Model, and exploring shocking allegations surrounding Bob Barker, while hosting the hit game show The Price is Right.

Also new to Bravo are Paramedics Australia S1, Snapped: Behind Bars S3 (June 12) and Southern Hospitality S4 (June 13).
