HBO Max’s August premieres on Neon are dominated by a Shark Week feast of specials with lurid clickbait titles.

In Jaws vs Mega Croc (August 11), a fight to the death between two of the biggest and baddest apex predators in the water – the Great White Shark and the Nile Crocodile — is computer-generated using data gathered in new experiments.

Air Jaws: Hunt for Colossus 10 (August 10) follows the search for the legendary flying shark who went missing 10 years ago from South Africa’s waters. Could he still be alive and lead researchers to a secret colony of lost great whites?

Great White Assassins (August 10) decodes how killer whales take down great whites with ease, including in NZ waters.

And in Surviving Jaws (August 14), marine biologist Tom “Blowfish” Hird and predator ecologist Michelle Jewell re-examine the movie 50 years on and dive with Great Whites to separate fact from fiction. Does skinny dipping really attract great whites? And could a monster shark chew through a boat’s hull?

Other Shark Week highlights include:

Great White Reign of Terror
Great White Sex Battle
Dancing with Sharks
Alien Sharks: Death Down Under
Black Mako of the Abyss
How to Survive a Shark Attack
Expedition Unknown: Shark Files
Expedition X: Malpelo Monster Shark
Caught! Sharks Strike Back
Florida’s Death Beach
Attack of the Devil Shark
Battle For Shark Mountain

S2 of Peacemarker (August 22), in which the vigilante superhero struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose, leads the rest of the HBO Max/Neon TV premieres for the month:
