New to Neon in April

Season four of The Handmaid’s Tale leads next month’s highlights on Neon.

It will stream exclusively on the platform from April 29. Reads the blurb:

June strikes back against Gilead as a fierce rebel leader, but the risks she takes bring unexpected and dangerous new challenges. Her quest for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.

Also new will be The Nevers (April 12), a supernatural series set in late Victorian London when “touched” people – mostly women – suddenly manifest abnormal abilities, some charming, some very disturbing.

Among them are Amalia True, a mysterious, quick-fisted widow, and Penance Adair, a brilliant young inventor, who are the champions of this new underclass.

Mare of Easton (April 19) stars Kate Winslet as a small-town Pennsylvania detective investigating a murder in a close community.

Julianne Nicholson (The Outsider), Jean Smart (Watchmen), Angourie Rice (Black Mirror), Evan Peters (American Horror Story), Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising) and Davin Denman (Outcast) co-star.

Back for new seasons will be Younger (April 17), Breeders (April 21), Shameless: Hall of Shame (April 12), Supergirl (April 1) and Fear the Walking Dead (April 12).

Among the movie premieres will be Savage (April 15), Bill & Ted Face the Music (April 5), Where’d You Go Bernadette (April 18), Disturbing the Peace (April 25), Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island (April 22), Samsam (April 2) and Cinderella: After Ever (April 26).
