New to Neon in August

Sky continues to make Neon a more competitive streaming platform, with next month’s highlights including two exclusive series and four that will be available the same day as their SoHo launch.

The Righteous Gemstones (weekly from August 19) is a new Danny (Vice Principals) McBride comedy about a world-famous televangelist family who have a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work. McBride, John Goodman and AdamDeVine star.

The Rook (weekly from August 15) is a UK thriller about a woman who wakes up in the rain besides London’s Millennium Bridge with no memory of who she is and no way to explain the circle of latex-gloved dead bodies splayed around her. Emma Greenwell, Joely Richardson and Olivia Munn star.

Also new will be the SoHo premieres Years and Years, I Love You, New Die, S5 of The Affair and S2 of Succession, along with Gentleman Jack, On Tour With Asperger’s Are Us, At the Heart of Gold USA: Inside the Gymnastics ScandalAbsentia (S2), Ballers (S5), Beneath NZ (S2), Veep (S7), Madam Secretary (S5) and Bull (S3).

Neon also will stream for the first time S1-5 of The Wire and the movies A Star is Born, The Girl in the Spider’s Web and Bad Times at the El Royale.
