New to Neon in June

Neon’s streaming premieres for June include a raft of newcomers and new-season premieres of Westworld and Animal Kingdom.

Here’s the line-up:

Pivoting (June 3) is a Fox sitcom about how three childhood friends cope with the death of a fourth. Kit was positively reviewed. “Pivoting definitely has the ‘throw a lot of funny lines at the wall and see which sticks’ vibe of shows like New Girl and Happy Endings,” said Decider.

The Rising (June 6) is an eight-part Sky Studios thriller that The Guardian said “starts, as most reliable ones do, with a murder – except that 19-year-old Neve Kelly (Clara Rugaard) doesn’t realise she is dead until she walks home and works out that nobody can see her.”

The Kings of Napa (June 10) is an OWN drama series about a Napa Valley dynasty in turmoil after the patriarch suddenly exits the company.

Irma Vep (June 14) is an HBO drama series about is an American movie star (Alicia Vikander) disillusioned by her career and a recent breakup, who comes to France to star in a remake of the French silent film classic Irma Vep.

The Baby (June 20) is a dark motherhood-is-hell comedy that earned an 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes: “The Baby‘s tone can be as wobbly as a rocking crib, but its audacious nature of comedy and horror deserves to be nurtured.”

All American Homecoming (June 25) is a CW drama series that tackles “the unique challenges of life after high school with warmth and understanding”(The Hollywood Reporter).

The Lazarus Project (June 26) is an eight-part Sky UK thriller that GQ magazine predicts will be “your next sci-fi TV obsession“.

Returning will be In the Dark (S4, June 8), The Goldbergs (S9, June 17), Animal Kingdom (S6, June 20), Westworld (S4, June 27) and Love Island UK (S8).

Movie premieres will include Above Suspicion (June 1), I Used to Ghostwrite Here (June 1), No Sudden Move (June 3), Blithe Spirit (June 4), Wild Mountain Thyme (June 5), Joe Bell (June 6), House of Gucci (June 16), The Card Counter (June 18), The Addams Family 2 (June 23), Dear Evan Hansen (June 23) and Last Night in Soho (June 24).
