New to Neon in May
A sci-fi thriller about a fearless young cop who’s wrongly convicted of a treasonous crime and exiled to a distant prison colony, only for fellow convicts to seize control of the prison transfer ship en route, will launch May 18 on Neon.
The eight-part series from showrunner Julie Gearey (Prisoners’ Wives, Secret Diary of a Call Girl) is set in the 23rd century and will land here two weeks after its Sky 1 debut in the UK.
Savannah Steyn (Crawl), Parminder Nagra (The Blacklist), Natasha O’Keeffe (Peaky Blinders), Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Years and Years) and Craig Parkinson (Temple) star.
Also new will be the SoHo comedy Made for Love (S1 from May 1) while returning will be DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (S6 from May 4), Shrill (S3 from May 7), Pose (S3 from May 10), City on a Hill (S2 from May 21) and Black Monday (S3 from May 25).
Other TV highlights will include all five seasons of Friday Night Lights (May 17) and all seven seasons of Parks and Recreation (May8).
Heading May’s movie premieres will be Nomadland (May 16), The Burnt Orange Heresy (May 30), Force of Nature (May 15) and Follow Me (May 15).
