If you’re missing David Hyde Pierce and Bebe Neuwirth from the Frasier reboot, they reunite for the second season of the joyous Julia, which premieres with a triple-episode on November 17.
The charming dramatisation of Julia Child’s life, starring Sarah Lancashire as “The French Chef”, continues with her visiting France to catch up with fellow cookbook scribe Simca Beck while wrestling with the pressures of success on her marriage.
Another of America’s TV sweethearts, Mary Tyler Moore, features in an acclaimed HBO documentary about her life, Being Mary Tyler Moore, which streams from November 1.
It’s part of a Documentary Spotlight season that includes Donyale Lunas: Supermodel (November 7), The Golden Boy: Oscar De Le Hoya (November 12) and:
- Essex Murders (November 1), a three-part Sky investigation into the fatal 1995 shootings of three drug dealers in a small village
- 38 at the Garden (November 3), the story of NBA star Jeremy Lin and how he helped to combat hate directed at Asian-Americans

- Navajo Police: Class 57 (November 23), a docuseries about recruits in training.
And if you don’t want to wait for their SoHo premieres, Neon is fast-tracking Fargo S5 (November 22) and Fellow Travelers (November 6), which Variety says “entwines an erotic love affair with a sharp historical epic … A complex, intimate, captivating and visually stunning portrait of anguish and desire”.
Returning are prison drama Time (S2, November 19), The Lazarus Project (S2, November 15), Chucky (S3, November 24), Rap Sh!t (S2, November 10) and Love Island Australia (S5, November 2).
