New to Neon in October

Season three of Succession will stream from October 18 on Neon, along with the premieres of Murder at the Cottage (October 3) and Paula (October 23).

Reads the logline for the first season of Succession in two years:

Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season two, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.

Subtitled The Search for Justice for Sophie, Cottage investigates the murder of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier in small-town Ireland while Paula is a 2017 revenge thriller that’s already screened free-to-air.

Streaming from October 7 will be Kiwi newcomers Inked and Growing Dope, which is about making money from medicinal cannabis in small-town Ruatoria.

Also new will be S2 of unscripted drag queen series We’re Here (October 13), S5 of relationships comedy Insecure (October 25), S7A of Fear the Walking Dead (October 18), S3 of Nancy Drew (October 10) and S7 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (October 15).

Three Louis Theroux documentaries also will stream for the first time: The Return of America’s Most Hated Family (October 5), The Night in Question (October 12) and By Reason of Insanity (October 19).

Other premieres will include:

• The Powerpuff Girls, Monster Beach, Ben 10 S4, Outlandish (October 2)
• Andy’s Aquatic Adventures (October 6)

• Work in Progress S1-2 (October 21).

New movies will include The Brighton Miracle (October 3), Wonder Woman 1984 (October 10), Woodstock 99: Peace, Love and Rage (October 15), Misbehaviour (October 16), Promising Young Woman (October 22), Free Guy (October 24) and The Marksman (October 31).

Neon also will premiere three Hallmark franchise movies based on the book series Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries.
