New to Neon in October

Found (October 19) is a “chilling new drama” that streams on Neon two weeks after its premiere on NBC.

It stars Shanola Hampton (Shameless) as the leader of a crisis management team looking for some of the 600,000 people who disappear annually in the US. According to one report:

The series looks to highlight the “epidemic of missing persons” in the U.S., 60% of which are children of colour. However, the novel twist is that Gabi (the show’s lead) is keeping the person who abducted her in her childhood captive in her basement, which makes this first look even more exciting!

Kelli Williams (The Practice), Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Gabrielle Walsh (9-1-1), Arlen Escarpeta (David Makes Man) and Karan Oberoi (Roswell, New Mexico) co-star.

Variety dubbed Foundextremely binge-able” but wasn’t as enamoured of another NBC newcomer, The Irrational (October 11), which it dismissed as “standard network fare”.

The gimmicky procedural stars Law & Order’s Jesse L. Martin as a behavioural scientist expert who uses his unique skills in psychology, body language and emotion to help the FBI solve its most perplexing cases.

More anticipated are returning seasons of:

  • Our Flag Means Death (S2, October 6)
  • Shining Vale (S2, October 16)
  • Raised by Refugees (S2, October 19)
  • Fear the Walking Dead (S8b, October 24)
  • The Gilded Age (S2, October 30).

Also new are the Bryan Bruce documentary, The Food Crisis (October 2), and S2 of Designing Dreams (S2, October 17).

Other highlights include kids’ fare PAW Patrol S9a, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles S1b, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles S1-5 and Corn & Peg S1-2, S1-7 of Pretty Little Liars, and reality shows Extreme Sisters (which already streams on ThreeNow), I Love a Mama’s Boy and 100 Days Wild.

Heading the movie premieres are The Fablemans, Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves and Champions.

  1. Really looking forward to S8B of Fear the Walking Dead. So glad I don’t have to wait another year to see it on Disney+, eh Trevor?

  2. Fear the Walking Dead S8B wraps up, what a disappointment. Meek and weak.
