April is looking good for Netflix, I am surprised with Finding Dory though as I would have thought Sky would have the rights to it especially with their Disney movie channel. Good to see season 3 of The 100 is coming as well, quite like that one 🙂
Good point re Disney, Trevor, but when Sky announced it had gazzumped Netflix for NZ rights to Disney content, a Netflix spokesman said it hoped that would be a temporary situation, saying Netflix would seek to secure more rights as and when they came up for renegotiation.
Interesting article, Philip, I hope that means Netflix will be having more recent movies. I don’t think Sky is a fan of Netflix 🙂
WOW, Netflix are full of surprises as today they have added quite a few Disney movies including Finding Nemo and the TV show Witches of East End 🙂
Thanks, Trevor. You’re doing a better job of publicising Netflix’s highlights than Netflix. Just had a look at the NZ site and had to enter Finding Nemo as a search term before it came up as an option. It’s not even included among the mostly recently added entries. Unbelievable.
Trevor/Philip, interesting that Finding Dory was available on Sky Box Office a few months back. I’m surprised (naively it seems) that that deal would not naturally lead onto it being available to subscribers in due course.
Hi Aiden. Dory should still surface on Sky Movies Disney within the next month or two. Streaming rights will have an earlier window than pay-TV (just as SBO had Dory ahead of Netflix).
Just noticed on Netflix a whole heap of new movies and TV shows have been added including Helix, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles and Party of Five, WOW, that’s an oldie, it’s weird though they have added the 3rd Karate Kid movie but not the first and the second 🙂
I see season 4 of The Blacklist is now on Netflix, YIPPEE 🙂

Hard to say, Trevor. Netflix US has all three seasons, so I imagine 2 & 3 will trickle through depending on Sky’s licensing rights for The Zone.

It’s good to see Grimm on Netflix, Aaron, and I see today season 4 of Bates Motel and season 2 of 12 Monkeys has been added YIPEEE 🙂
Both Bates Motel and 12 Monkeys are on my watch list, just need to find the time to start watching them.
