New to Prime Video in December

Season two of Jack Reacher (December 15) leads next month’s Prime Video premieres but otherwise movies dominate.

Prisoner’s Daughter (December 5) stars Succession’s Brian Cox as an estranged father who seeks redemption when he’s diagnosed with terminal cancer and is granted a compassionate release after 12 years in prison.

It earned mixed reviews, co-stars Kate Beckinsale co-stars as his daughter, and was directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight).

Candy Cane Lane (December 1) is an Eddie Murphy comedy about a suburban dad who gets tangled up with a mischievous elf while The Black Demon (December 12) is a B-movie hoot about the survivors of a gigantic megalodon shark attack.

Breath of Life (December 15) is a 1950s drama about a clergyman’s self-transformation and comedy The Donor Party (December 19) concerns a wannabe mum who pulls off the ultimate sperm heist on unsuspecting donors.

On the TV front, Merry Little Batman (December 8) is an animated family action-comedy about how what happens when young Damian Wayne, home alone in Wayne Manor on Christmas Eve, transforms into “Little Batman” to defend Gotham City from the crooks and supervillains destroying the holidays.

Other TV premieres include South Korean fairy tale My Man is Cupid (December 2), Spanish thriller Los Farad (December 12), Korean webtoon adaptation Death’s Game (December 15) and French relationships dramedy Escort Boys (December 22).
