Ballard (view trailer) is a Bosch spin-off starring Maggie Q as the leader of LAPD’s new and underfunded cold case division. Reads the blurb:

As she peels back layers of crimes spanning decades, including a serial killer’s string of murders and a murdered John Doe, she soon uncovers a dangerous conspiracy within the LAPD. With the help of her volunteer team and retired detective Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), Detective Ballard navigates personal trauma, professional challenges, and life-threatening dangers to expose the truth.

One Night in Idaho: The College Murders (view trailer) is a four-part docuseries about the fatal stabbings of four University of Idaho students in their off-campus house on the night of November 13, November 2022.

It centres on the families and friends of the victims, featuring exclusive interviews with Stacey and Jim Chapin (parents of Ethan Chapin), and Karen and Scott Laramie (parents of Madison Mogan). Reads the blurb:

What happened? Who did this, and could the killer be among us? And why these four young adults? The twists and turns of what happens next – an explosion of social media sleuthing, a cross-country manhunt, a dramatic arrest, and a looming trial – have made this crime one of the most high-profile stories of the last decade, capturing the country’s attention, imagination, and paranoia like almost no other case before it.

Other TV premieres include The Chosen: Last Supper S5 (view trailer), The Summer I Turned Pretty S3 (view trailer) and Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd (view trailer), a nostalgic look at one of the most popular pop-punk bands of the 2000s featuring never-before-seen archival footage and exclusive access to their sold-out 2024 World Tour.

Movie premieres range from action-comedy Heads of State (view trailer) and Robbie Williams profile Better Man to classic franchises while already streaming is the late June addition Warfare (view trailer).
