New to Prime Video in June
Creed III streams exclusively on Amazon Prime from June 9, The Grand Tour roars back for season five on June 16, the fourth and final season of Jack Ryan lands on June 30, and Kiwis Madeleine Sami and Antony Starr star in two other premieres.
Deadloch (June 2)
Eight-part crime comedy set in the Tasmanian town of Deadloch, a sleepy seaside hamlet until a local man turns up dead on the beach. Fastidious local Senior Sergeant Dulcie Collins and a rough-as-guts blow-in from Darwin, Senior Investigator Eddie Redcliffe, along with their over-eager junior constable Abby investigate as the town prepares to launch its “Winter Feastival”. The Defenders (June 23)
Race-against-time thriller which tells the true story of Hakeem al-Araibi, a Bahraini footballer turned political refugee who was accused of terrorism while honeymooning in Thailand. As he awaited extradition back to Bahrain, a rag-tag group of campaigners led by former Socceroos captain Craig Foster launched a campaign to #SaveHakeem. View the official trailer here.
The Covenant (June 16)
An Afghan interpreter goes to Herculean lengths to save the life of a US Army sergeant after they’re ambushed — only to be refused the safe passage to America he was promised, prompting the soldier he saved to return to war zone to rescue his family from the Taliban.
