New to Prime Video in November

Still no sign of Lawman: Bass Reeves but the latest Taylor Sheridan production to stream here on Prime Video is Landman (November 18).

About the roughnecks and wildcat billionaires of modern West Texas who are reshaping our climate, economy and geopolitics, it stars Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, Demi Moore and Ali Larter.

The series is streaming globally on Paramount+ but, like Sheridan’s Yellowstone spin-offs, has been licensed here by Prime Video.

Why the same hasn’t happened with Sheridan’s Bass Reeves is a mystery as big as why Netflix launched here without House of Cards.

Prime Video seems to think it’s been licensed by another party but none of the usual suspects has confirmed interest.

Streaming a week ahead of its Sky Open premiere is In Cold Water: The Shelter Bay Mystery (November 12), a true-crime docuseries about a former Napier city councillor who was charged with his wife’s murder after she drowned in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Cross (November 14) stars Aldis Hodge as a decorated DC homicide detective and forensic psychologist tracking down a serial killer when a mysterious threat surfaces from his past.

Borderlands (November 1) is a video game adaptation starring Cate Blanchett as an infamous bounty hunter who teams with a ragtag band of misfits to find the missing daughter of “the universe’s most powerful SOB”.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart and Jack Black co-star.
