New to Prime Video in October

Today Prime Video released the official trailer for the Wiggles documentary, Hot Potato: The Story of The Wiggles, which streams from October 24.

It depicts the meteoric rise of The Wiggles as the most successful children’s act of all time after four friends recorded an album of children’s music in the early 1990s.

But when three of the original members retired in 2010, the new-look Wiggles, complete with the first woman member, faced a brutal backlash that turned packed stadiums into half-empty halls.

Hot Potato documents how the new group overcame setbacks while the original line-up prepared to reunite on stage — only for Greg Page to have a cardiac arrest at a 2020 charity gig. Reads the blurb:

Hot Potato: The Story of The Wiggles is a backstage pass to one of the world’s greatest entertainment stories, and features decades of personal archive footage and intimate access to their sold-out shows. It’s the story of a life of music, friendship, joy, and the enduring power of the child in all of us.
