New to Prime Video in October

A new sci-fi series from the creators of Westworld, a medieval romp from Lena Dunham and the latest Liam Neeson thriller lead October’s highlights on Prime Video.

Dubbed a “dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind”, The Peripheral stars Chloë Grace Moretz as a VR gamer who discovers a secret connection to an alternate reality as well as a dark future of her own: someone in London, 70 years in the future, has found a way to open a door to her world.

Written and directed by Lena Dunham, Catherine Called Birdy follows a 14-year-old girl in medieval England as she navigates through life avoiding all the potential suitors her father throws at her.

Bella Ramsey, Billie Piper, Andrew Scott, Lesley Sharp, Joe Alwyn, Dean Charles Chapman and Isis Hainsworth star.

Liam Neeson is an assassin-for-hire who become the target in Memory, which co-stars Guy Pearce and Monica Bellucci. Kiwi Martin Campbell directs.

In The Devil’s Hour, the mother of a withdrawn eight-year-old wakes every night at 3.33am to terrifying visions and is inexplicablylinkedto a string of brutal murders. Peter Capaldi and Jennifer Raine star.

Based on musicians Tegan and Sara Quin’s best-selling memoir, High School is about how finding your own identity becomes even more complicated when your twin’s struggles mimic your own.

  1. I wonder if Prime Video will screen the Supernatural prequel The Winchesters ? It looks awesome ???

  2. Hey, Trevor, Sky’s picked up that series for next month on SoHo and Neon.

  3. Thanks Philip. I will watch it on Neon then ?

  4. As an avid fan of Supernatural, I’ll be giving The Winchesters a miss. Also it’s not a prequel as John didn’t start hunting until after Mary was killed (I know I’m sad), destroying canon and lore of beloved properties is clearly an ongoing thing with writers/producers and ‘media companies’ in Hollywood, Rings of Power anyone ? …

  5. I just noticed the movie Uncharted is coming to Prime Video October 27th, just thought I would mention ?

  6. Thanks for the update, Trevor. The publicists could do with someone as vigilant as you.
