New to Rialto in August
Next month Sky’s Rialto channel will premiere five French movies and season five of French political thriller The Bureau.
One of the most popular series to screen on Rialto, The Bureau will return for a 10-episode 8.30 Tuesday run on August 25 while the movies will debut as part of the Monday night Rialto World strand.
The Vive la France! season will open with The Ideal Palace (August 3), continue with Reinventing Marvin (August 10), Savage (August 17) and Dumped (August 24), and conclude with The Summer House [Les Estivants] (August 31).
For the Love of Sport is a new Wednesday strand of premieres that will launch with Over the Limit (August 5) and continue with Time Trial (August 12), Finke: There and Back, and In Search of Greatness (August 26).
Lorraine Downes will present a Fashion’s Front Row line-up of documentaries on Thursday nights: Halston (August 6), Celebration: Yves Saint Laurent (August 13), Jean Paul Gaultier: Freak & Chic (August 20), and Martin Margiela: In His Own Words (August 27).
Other highlights will include the return of Welsh bilingual crime drama Hidden (S2, 8.30 Sundays from August 16) and the Saturday movie premieres Rory’s Way (August 1), JT Leroy (August 8), Happy New Year, Colin Burstead (August 15), Little Woods (August 22) and Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss, which stars Taika Waititi (August 29).
