New to Shudder TV in August

Horror streaming service Shudder will premiere four exclusive movies in August, including one that features Oscar-winner JK Simmons.

In Glorious (August 18), he voices a “toilet-dwelling deity” who figures in a young man’s real-life nightmare; True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten co-stars.

It premiered this week  to rave reviews at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal (SlashFilm dubbed it “a goopy Lovecraftian restroom comedy”).

What Josiah Saw (August 4), a Shudder original, stars Robert Patrick as a father who experiences terrifying visions from beyond.

So Vam (August 23) concerns inspiring drag queen who’s killed by a predatory vampire and resurrected by rebellious bloodsuckers who feed on bigots and abusers.

In I Blame Society (August 25), a struggling filmmaker decides to prove herself by finishing an abandoned project … and committing the perfect murder.
