New to SoHo in June
The third and final season of the knockout Australian hitman dramedy Mr Inbetween will premiere next month on SoHo.
It will air 8.30 Thursdays from June 24, a month after its FX and Foxtel bows, as the anchor for a comedy block that includes S3 of Motherland and newcomer Intelligence.
Mr Inbetween opens with Ray quietly mourning his brother’s death while his daughter edges closer to discovering who he really is.
SoHo will resume Motherland (10.00 Thursdays from June 17) with the belated Christmas special ahead of starting the season proper.
It went to air last week in the UK, where Radio Times hailed the premiere as “a grade A return with a punchy pandemic parody”.
Leading into Motherland at 9.30 will be Intelligence, a Sky One comedy starring David Schwimmer as a US spy out of his depth in London working for the UK’s cybercrimes centre.
Said The Hollywood Reporter: “Intelligence is a pretty rudimentary entry in a subgenre that the British do spectacularly well: the restricted-location workplace sitcom driven by characters whose unrelenting eccentricities only slowly make way for likability.”
Eden (9.30 Mondays from June 14) concerns the disappearance of a young woman around the idyllic Northern Rivers region of New South Wales
TV Blackbox reports the eight-part thriller, which was commissioned for streaming platform Stan, features a diverse young cast and explores “human relationships through the lens of sex and desire”.
Other June highlights will include the linear premiere of Neon’s Intergalactic (8.30 Tuesdays from June 22) and weekend box sets of The Nevers, Mayans MC (S3), Mare of Easttown, Allen vs Farrow and Made for Love.
