New to SoHo in November
It’s all go for Fargo on SoHo next month.
Season five of the anthology thriller will premiere November 27 at 8.30 on Sky’s premium drama channel.
That will be five days after its FX debut but expect it to turn up November 22 on Sky’s streaming service Neon.
Reports ScreenRant:
Initially set to debut in September 2023, Fargo season 5 was pushed back until November due to the industry labour strikes. Still, it remains one of the year’s most-anticipated shows, especially since it’s arriving three long years after the previous season. Whereas Fargo season 4 took a different approach by focusing on events from the ’50s, season 5 is returning closer to the present day with much of the focus back in North Dakota.
Jon Hamm heads an outstanding cast as a sheriff searching for a housewife with a dark past.
Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Joe Kerry (Stranger Things), Jennifer Jason Leigh, Lamorne Morris (New Girl) and Sam Spruell (The North Water) co-star.
Also new are Fellow Travellers (9.30 Fridays from November 10) and season three of COBRA (8.30 Sundays from November 5).
Fellows Travellers lands two weeks after its Paramount+/Showtime bow in the US but presumably can be streamed earlier on Neon.
It’s billed as “an epic love story and political thriller, chronicling the volatile romance of two very different men, who meet in the shadow of McCarthy-era Washington”.
Matt Bomer (Doom Patrol) and Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton) star. Or, as IndieWire quipped, “Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey heat up the Cold War with forbidden love.”
S3 of COBRA is subtitled Rebellion because it revolves around a lethal environmental demonstration involving the Prime Minister’s daughter.
New to the Robert Carlyle-led cast is Jane Horrocks (Absolutely Fabulous).
