New to ThreeNow in September

Two local shows will premiere next month on ThreeNow hours ahead of their debuts on Three.

The air dates have yet to be disclosed for both the return of Nadia’s Farm, which covers opening the farm up to public tours and the launch of Carlos’ Swifty beer, and Live and Let Dai, which chronicles comedian Dai Henwood’s three-year fight against incurable bowel cancer.

Also streaming the same day as its Three premiere is The Fall: Skydive Murder Plot (September 9).

It illuminates how two dogged detective investigated the 2015 case of how a woman miraculously survived a parachute jump organised by her husband after both the main and reserve ‘chutes failed.

The blurb says they spent two years “pulling at the threads of her husband’s life — revealing affairs, debts, sex clubs, escorts … and murderous intent”:

This innovative true-crime series weaves together exclusive documentary interviews -including the first in-depth TV interview with Victoria Cilliers – with verbatim drama taken from access to police interviews, court transcripts, and other material that has never been seen by the public before.

The Guardian thought it “blighted by bizarre, Brendan O’Carroll-esque reconstructions” while The Telegraph said “this docu-drama was more interested in the toxic backstory of Victoria Cilliers’s marriage than the details of her horrific fall”.

Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Saviour (September 3) is being rolled out over three consecutive days.

It reveals mercurial psychopath Hadden Clark, “the serial killer you’ve never heard of”, from his murderous family to his relationship with a cellmate he thought was Jesus.

“Throughout my career, I’ve always focused on meeting real people — from scientists of all kinds to alligator wranglers, law enforcement agents to bank robbers, and even kings and queens — gaining true insights for my films,” executive producer and Hollywood heavyweight Michael Bay says of his first venture into documentarymaking.

“The focus of this five-hour series is on the youngest son, Hadden Clark, whom I spent countless hours personally speaking to in prison so that I could get into the mind and psychology of a person who the FBI refers to as ‘a person of interest’ in over 20 states.

“Born Evil could potentially open the door to solving many cold case murders.”

The Curious Case of Natalia Grace S1-2 (September 25) is a stranger-than-fiction series that explores the question of whether Natalia Barnett is an exploited Ukrainian child with dwarfism or a dangerous adult masquerading as a child:

Featuring exclusive interviews with members of Natalia’s adoptive family, the Barnetts, never-before-seen footage, and testimony from a colourful cast of characters, this docuseries offers a journey into an astonishing odyssey riddled with unbelievably shocking allegations and explosive revelations.

ThreeNow’s also picking up S5 of The Good Doctor (September 28) and two returning extreme competition series: S1-2A of Fear Factor (September 20) and S5 of Wipeout USA (September 27).
