New to TVNZ+: April 25-May 1

The Paramount+ documentary Ozzy: No Escape From Now (May 1) is a “compellingly downbeat portrait of a rocker in chronic pain”.

According to Variety, “This is effectively the two-hour series finale of The Osbournes, with a lot less madcap fun and repartee.”

“It’s painful to watch Ozzy Osbourne struggle in this documentary,” the New York Times said, “but his efforts to make one final onstage appearance are awe-inspiring.”

Here’s the trailer.

The Olivia Attwood-fronted Bad Boyfriends (May 1) was dubbed 2024’s “best new reality show” by Digital Spy:

Bad Boyfriends is essentially a bootcamp for a group of unassuming lads who have been set up by their disgruntled girlfriends. Ranging from laziness through to commitment and trust issues, each lady has a reason to want more from the man in her life – but for their part, the boys think they’ve signed up for a format called Brotopia (yes, really) …

Sure there are elements of the format that feel borrowed … But Bad Boyfriends‘ host Olivia has injected herself, and her humour, into proceedings – not to mention, the concept itself draws inspiration from her own relationship journey with former“bad boyfriend”, and now supportive husband, Bradley Dack.
