New to TVNZ+ in September
Witness Number 3 (full season, September 22) stars Bodyguard’s Nina Toussaint-White as a hairdresser who unwittingly becomes a key witness in a grisly murder and is subjected to a terrifying campaign of intimidation by a gang sent to silence her.
“If any citizen had the slightest fears about coming forward to give evidence about a crime, they’ll surely run a mile after seeing this horrifying drama,” The Times said of the Channel 5 series. “Make a statement? No chance, mate. Didn’t see a thing.”
The Twelve (September 6) follows a controversial murder trial in which the accused is charged with killing her teenage niece.
Is she guilty or innocent? Is it even a murder, given the 14-year-old niece went missing when in her care but a body has never been found? With her own family divided over her guilt or innocence, what hope does the jury have of reaching the truth?
Sam Neill, Kate Mulvany (Hunters), Marta Dusseldorp (Wentworth), Brooke Satchwell (Packed to the Rafters) and Brendan Cowell (Game of Thrones) star.

Reigning King of Country Music Albie Roman, along with his insanely talented – and tough as nails – wife, Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman, have created a country music dynasty.
However, when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicolette “Nicky” Roman will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom, alongside her brother Luke and sister Gigi.
Waiata Anthems S2 (full series, September 5): Lorde, Tim Finn Mikey Dam and Paige work with Māori language experts to re-record their songs, sharing untold stories of fear and discovery along the way.
Operación Marea Negra (full series, September 1) is a real life-inspired 2022 foreign language drama about a promising young amateur boxer who tries to traffic three tonnes of cocaine between Latin America and Europe using a homemade semi-submersible.
Vampire Academy (September 15) is named after a boarding school for vampires, where two friends face down an ancient undead evil.
Based on the novels by Richelle Mead, it’s reboot of the 2014 movie and stars Sisi Stringer, Daniela Nieves, Kieron Moore and André Dae Kim.
