New to TVNZ+: January 17-23

Chloe Ayling: My Unbelievable Kidnapping (January 19) is a three-part BBC docuseries about the abduction of a British model in Italy.

“Chloe Ayling: My Unbelievable Kidnapping takes us through Chloe’s kidnap, the case that was built against her kidnapper, his trial and the subsequent fallout that played out in the UK press,” Stylist said. She told the website:

In Italy, everything was procedural, but there was never any doubt about my account. I was shocked to return to the UK to find the exact opposite – I actually had to defend myself. Yet when we hear from the Italians – the police, the judge and all of these important people who have never been interviewed before – you’ll see there was so much more than the sensational headlines that were being pulled from the trial out of context. My kidnapper told crazy and fantastical lies – he was constantly changing his story – the court could see that. Yet I was being blamed.

Also new is a slew of linear debuts, as previewed here, while streaming from January 20 are the movies A Walk Among the Tombstones, Drive and Dallas Buyers Club.
